Theresa Henige is an award-winning public affairs professional with 20+ years’ experience. She has successfully raised the profile of every company for which she has worked, thereby increasing revenue, customers, members and influence. Trained as a journalist, Theresa knows the right questions to ask.  Recognizing that each company is unique and there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution, she works diligently to discover what makes each company unique and subsequently promotes those core competencies in the marketplace. She was an early adopter of technology and embraces its evolution.

Beginning her career as a writer at MarketPlace Magazine in  Detroit, Theresa soon moved to Washington, DC, where she worked at a Marine base, a Naval base, a trade association with the 3rd largest PAC in the nation, and a national public interest law firm that tried precedent-setting cases. It was in DC she began talking with the national press and discovered her strong affinity for building relationships with the fourth estate.

Following a decade-plus in DC, Theresa moved to Wisconsin to head up communications for The Johnson Foundation, an international public policy conference center. She did work for myriad other companies and organizations and owned a retail business for a number of years, before returning to Washington, DC. Theresa now splits her time between Detroit and the District.

Theresa is a relationship builder and strategic thinker. Her experience covers multiple disciplines, and she has access to an extensive network of professionals across all fields upon whom she can call as needed to provide related services. She began consulting in 2009.
